Amalfi Restaurant and Bar
loading…
A restaurant sampling the cuisine of the Amafli Coast of Italy.
A wonderful (or at least a formerly wonderful) Italian Restaurant specializing in the Italian Cuisine of the Amafli Coast.
The place is warm and romantic, which adds to the tragedy for me, since my first trip there was with two other dudes. Friends of mine, but still…dang. Like I wasted a shot.
Anyway, Amalfi welcomes you with a big, inviting bar. It has a fireplace, with tables nearby. (Really, really good even in Southern California “winters”.) Best of all, the food I had was really good, really flavorful.
Now, from what I’ve heard (from one of the dudes at that first trip) is that Amalfi has fallen off a little. New chef, new menu, I don’t know. But if you’re in that neck of the woods, I think its worth a trip. Though I have to confess, I have to go by there and see what’s happening now.
WHAT SHOULD I GET?: My thing was the Pan Roasted Chicken, that was dang good.
IMPORTANT SAFETY TIP, PEOPLE: See if its possible to sit by the fire. That just makes any Dinner taste better.
PARKING: This is La Brea, the home of The Tar Pit and Eatz LA. That means you’re parking on the street. Amalfi has Valet Parking. Personally, I’m not a fan of Valet Parking, but it may just be the easiest thing.
