Greatest…Record Store…ever. And yes, they still sell (and buy) records.

Seriously, have you ever seen a warehouse-sized record store like this? Tower Records, you say? Well, a) it’s closed, and b) Tower was never had this many Used Records. Hey, you want movies and DVDs, move off to the right, and head up them stairs.

It’s got virtually every known form of music known to mankind, as well as a generous selection of box sets, imports and actual records…not CDs…actual 33 1/3 RPM Records! Looking for that rare Zydeco single that was only released in Lebanon? Try to Amoeba before resorting to the internet.

Prices are only okay…unless we’re talking about the used stuff. The Used stuff rivals any prices you’ll find anywhere.

WHAT SHOULD I GET?: Records, lots and lots of Records.

IMPORTANT SAFETY TIP, PEOPLE: Go in with a plan. It is very easy to go into the store, and wander around and find a bunch of nothing. It’s very easy to go in, with the intention of buying a lot of stuff…and wind up walking out with nothing. Before you go, make up list of the stuff you want, and stick to it. That’s the best way I know to prevent yourself from spending more than you plan, or worse…coming back with nothing.
