Trattoria Amici

Italian date-place in the heart of the Americana Center.

It took a while, but we finally got a really nice, fancy, bring-a-date style Italian place in the heart of the Americana Center. I forgot what was there before (I think it was a boutique of…some kind), but I don’t miss it.

I’m not sure the food is overall as extraordinary as places like Osteria Mamma or Far Niente, but what I had the night I was there was real good. I sat at the bar, and had a glass or wine and a meal.

And by the way, if you do get a drink a Trattoria Amici, Deja, should be the one serving it to you. She made it one of the best times I had at a bar in a while. She recommended my dinner to me (and she was right). She introduced me to the wonderful world of Italian Cocktails (just a sip). She made Trattoria Amici a find.

WHAT SHOULD I GET?: Well, first off, if you’ve having a drink, Deja is who should be serving it to you. And if you want some food, I’ll recommend what she recommended: the Penne Arrabbiata. Again, like with Far Niente, it’s not that spicy, but boy is it tasty.

IMPORTANT SAFETY TIP, PEOPLE: Remember this phrase: “Is Deja working tonight?”

PARKING: Incredibly easy. Just use the Americana’s Centers rather well-organized Parking Structure.
