A heavy duty Breakfast place in Hollywood.

Listen, I like the Griddle.  I had a great time with the ladies I was with, and had a great meal.  The only problem is…is a breakfast…any breakfast…worth an hour’s wait to get to?  Even with the fantastic omelets and the manhole cover sized Pancakes, it’s still a damn good place…if you can get in.

WHAT SHOULD I GET?: Well, you’re getting breakfast. That’s obvious. I declined the wonderful looking pancakes, as I wanted to be able to function the rest of the day. (Falling asleep at the wheel, still a no-no in L.A., despite the quality of driving.) I went with Chicago Charlie’s Scramble: Italian Sausage, Bacon, Mozzarella, you get the picture.

IMPORTANT SAFETY TIP, PEOPLE: Despite my complaint about the length of time it takes to get in there, the staff has got the line reasonably well organized. There is a Staff Member constantly patrolling the line, available for questions, like “How much longer”, and aware of the number of people in your party. So if you’re a party of two, and a table for two opens up, and there are a bunch of parties of four in front of you, they’ll get you in.

Expect to drop around 10-15 bucks a person.

PARKING: BHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Oh, wait, you’re serious.

You’re parking on the street, and and walking a loooong way. Deal with it. Worse, some of the residential streets are Permit Parking only, so be aware.
