The best place to drink (and sometimes even eat) at the Grove.
What works about Whisper Restaurant and Lounge is that how separated it is from the strum and drang of the Grove. You slip away down the little alley across from Barnes and Noble and the “Spirit of Los Angeles” Statue, keep going past all the boutiques, and there it is on your left.
All of the sudden, all the screaming kids, chattering shop-goers are gone. There’s just you and your wine, of your adult beverage of choice. Even the Grove’s Parking Structure doesn’t make all that much noise.
WHAT SHOULD I GET?: Well, a glass of wine, but really…its a bar, get what you want.
IMPORTANT SAFETY TIP, PEOPLE: Just remember how to get there. Granted, you can follow the maps, but really its simple. Just take the little alley across from Barnes and Noble and the “Spirit of Los Angeles” Statue, keep going past all the boutiques (odds are they’ll be closed after your movie), and it’ll be on your left.
Oh, and when I say “the best place to drink at the Grove”…I mean the Grove. Remember, my other favorite watering hole, Mixology 101, is technically a part of the Farmer’s Market. Though moving from the Grove to the Farmer’s Market, you can’t tell which is which.
PARKING: You can try to park in the Farmer’s Market lot, but why go through all that hassle. Just park in the Grove’s Structure and get it over with.
