Is It Any Good?

It’s that time of the year again, the Fourth of July, and there’s going to be a good ol’ time at the Americafest at the Rose Bowl. Time to celebrate the Declaration of Independence from Britain with the roasting of large quantities of meat and a fireworks display…

Even though, we weren’t really a country at this point in 1776…

Even though there was…you know…seven more years of war to be fought with Britain for that independence…

Even though, we tried to the Country thing with the something called the Articles of Confederation, and it failed miserably…

Even though, when we finally got our act together, drafted the Constitution (also known as the thing we all swear allegiance to), and formed the actual Country that continues today, it was 1785…nine years later.

Details, details.

Anyway, there are going to be Fireworks and a Concert down at the Rose Bowl. Unfortunately, that concert is going to include Kenny G. (Hey, you can’t have everything).
