Is It Any Good?

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA)’s Friday night Jazz Concerts continue tomorrow night featuring Alan Pasqua.

From the LACMA website:

Grammy nominated pianist and composer Alan Pasqua began his career as part of the Tony Williams Band along with guitarist Allan Holdsworth. He has played and recorded with Jack Dejohnette, Gary Burton, Michael Brecker, Stanley Clarke, Joe Williams, and the Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Jazz Orchestra. Other notable recording and touring projects include Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Bob Dylan, and Santana. Pasqua also serves as Professor of Jazz Studies at USC.

Jazz at LACMA starts every Friday night at 6pm in the BP Grand Pavilion. Tickets are free, and don’t require any reservations. Parking is available underneath LACMA or across the street (and that might cost you a little bit).

Food options, including Haute Dogs (Sausages) or Tacos (bring the Tacos back!), Sangria, Beer and other adult beverages (and non-adult beverages) will be on sale. Ray and Stark Bar will be open as well, as well as the many food trucks along Wilshire Avenue. You can also bring your own picnic, as well as your own chair or blankets.
