Is It Any Good?

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA)’s Friday night Jazz Concerts continue tomorrow night featuring Brent Canter.

From the LACMA website:

Guitarist, recording artist, and 2011 ASCAP Young Jazz Composer Award winner Brent Canter and his band have developed a reputation for innovation, drawing on an eclectic mix of influences including modern indie rock, jazz, and pop to create music that is both accessible and boundary-pushing. The group was recently described as “cutting edge” by New York’s Encore Magazine, and the Hollywood Weekly describes Canter’s compositions as ‘the new jazz standards for his generation’.

Jazz at LACMA starts every Friday night at 6pm in the BP Grand Pavilion. Tickets are free, and don’t require any reservations. Parking is available underneath LACMA or across the street (and that might cost you a little bit).

Food options, including Haute Dogs (Sausages) or Tacos (bring the Tacos back!), Sangria, Beer and other adult beverages (and non-adult beverages) will be on sale. Ray and Stark Bar will be open as well, as well as the many food trucks along Wilshire Avenue. You can also bring your own picnic, as well as your own chair or blankets.
