Long story short, the Norton Simon has a collection of 19th Century Pastels they want to display, and to do that properly, they need to do a quick renovation to what is my favorite part of the museum, the 19th Century Art Wing.
Coincidentally, it’s your favorite part of the museum as well, since it’s the most popular part of the museum.
Things will start today, September 23rd, and run all the way into…well, next week, October 3rd, wherein the good stuff will be reinstalled and we get to see the new pastels.
Oh, and just in time for ArtNight Pasadena. That can’t be a coincidence.
So, overall (twitch) not too bad a thing (shudder). Just lose out on all those Degas (shudder-shake) for two weeks, then (cry) we can go back.
Yeah. See? I can live for time without seeing my Degas.
