The good life…French style…at the Farmer’s Market of Los Angeles. Also in store form!
I mean you walk in and you are immediately overwhelmed with everything you want for the good life: Wines, cheese, crackers, chocolates, liquers.
Hmm. Asian food section. Well, Asian food shelf.
Anyway, they don’t just have a couple of seats for a cheese tasting, they have a freakin’ Restaurant right outside their front door that serves Steaks and everything.
Also, unlike the Pasadena Cheese Store, the Cheeses and their types are actually on display at Monsieur Marcel so you can…you know…pick and choose what you might want. And Monsieur Marcel has cheeses from all over the world. They even had an block of Irish Cheddar.
They don’t seem to have classes (bummer), but the sales people on the floor seem to know their stuff. This is a mini grocery crossed with a Sur La Table. This is a place to get your slice of the Gallic Good Life.
IMPORTANT SAFETY TIP, PEOPLE: Just know going in, Monsieur Marcel is not inexpensive. But the quality of the food makes up for that, and the service was good too. Get in there and get your Cheese on.
The Farmer’s Market Lot is full. Trust me. It’s probably full as you’re reading this. You could be in Dubai reading this at 4am in the morning, L.A. Time, and yes…the Farmer’s Market Lot is still full.
