Is It Any Good?

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA)’s Friday night Jazz Concerts continue tomorrow night, August 1st, 2014, featuring John Daversa Small Band.

From the LACMA website:

Trumpeter, composer, and educator John Daversa brings his Small Band to LACMA to play their recording Artful Joy. The in-demand trumpet and flugelhorn player has worked with such diverse artists as Burt Bacharach, Nick Mancini, Joe Cocker, Justin Morell, and The Yellowjackets. Daversa has also worked in film and television projects, recording for The Five-Year Engagement, Promised Land, and Key and Peele.

Jazz at LACMA starts every Friday night at 6pm in the BP Grand Pavilion. Tickets are free, no reservations required, but the earlier you show up the better. Parking is available underneath LACMA or across the street (and that might cost you a little bit).

Food options, as well as Sangria, Beer and other adult beverages (and non-adult beverages) will be on sale. Ray and Stark Bar will be open as well.  LACMA has started to ask that we not bring outside alcohol, or glass bottles to the event.  The food trucks along Wilshire Avenue will be there until an hour or two before showtime. You can also bring your own picnic, as well as your own chair or blankets.
