The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA)’s Friday night Jazz Concerts continue tomorrow night, September 26th, 2014, featuring Kathleen Grace.
From the LACMA website:
Los Angeles–based Kathleen Grace Band (KGB) was borne out of a desire to fuse the musical language of jazz with the storytelling of the American folk tradition. Grace—in her capacity as singer, songwriter, and producer—draws the listener in with vocal harmonies, grooves, and textures. She has performed at festivals in Europe and North and South America and was a finalist in the 2004 Montreux International Jazz Vocal Competition.
Jazz at LACMA starts every Friday night at 6pm in the BP Grand Pavilion. Tickets are free, no reservations required, but the earlier you show up the better. Parking is available underneath LACMA or across the street (and that might cost you a little bit).
Food options, as well as Sangria, Beer and other adult beverages (and non-adult beverages) will be on sale. Ray and Stark Bar will be open as well. LACMA has started to ask that we not bring outside alcohol, or glass bottles to the event. The food trucks along Wilshire Avenue will be there until an hour or two before showtime. You can also bring your own picnic, as well as your own chair or blankets.
