Is It Any Good?

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA)’s Friday night Jazz Concerts continue tomorrow night, August 15th, 2014, featuring Katisse.

From the LACMA website:

Blending the worlds of jazz, hip-hop, pop, and world music, woodwind specialist Katisse returns to LACMA with his high-energy band. Katisse has toured the world with such artists as Herbie Hancock, the Yellowjackets, Prince, Dr. Dre, Airto & Flora Purim, John Patitucci, Ricky Lawson, and the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet. He has also played on numerous films, including the jazz-flute scene in the Will Ferrell film Anchorman.

Jazz at LACMA starts every Friday night at 6pm in the BP Grand Pavilion. Tickets are free, no reservations required, but the earlier you show up the better. Parking is available underneath LACMA or across the street (and that might cost you a little bit).

Food options, as well as Sangria, Beer and other adult beverages (and non-adult beverages) will be on sale. Ray and Stark Bar will be open as well.  LACMA has started to ask that we not bring outside alcohol, or glass bottles to the event.  The food trucks along Wilshire Avenue will be there until an hour or two before showtime. You can also bring your own picnic, as well as your own chair or blankets.
