Is It Any Good?

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA)’s Friday night Jazz Concerts continue tomorrow night featuring the Russell Ferrante & Bob Mintzer Quartet.

From the LACMA website:

Keyboardist Russell Ferrante and saxophonist Bob Mintzer are also known as members of Grammy Award–winning Yellowjackets. Individually, they are also prolific composers and arrangers, working with leading musicians and ensembles around the world, including Bobby McFerrin, Al Jarreau, Diane Reeves, the GRP Big Band, Lee Ritenour, and the Bob Mintzer Big Band. As dual performers, they have toured and recorded with Art Blakey, Jaco Pastorius, Randy Brecker, Jimmy Witherspoon, Joni Mitchell, and Take 6.

Jazz at LACMA starts every Friday night at 6pm in the BP Grand Pavilion. Tickets are free, no reservations required, but the earlier you show up the better. Parking is available underneath LACMA or across the street (and that might cost you a little bit).

Food options, including Haute Dogs (Sausages) or Tacos (bring the Tacos back!), Sangria, Beer and other adult beverages (and non-adult beverages) will be on sale. Ray and Stark Bar will be open as well, as well as the many food trucks along Wilshire Avenue. You can also bring your own picnic, as well as your own chair or blankets.
