The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA)’s Friday night Jazz Concerts continue tomorrow night, June 12nd, 2015, featuring the Clayton Cameron Sextet.
From the LACMA website:
Clayton Cameron’s dynamic career has crossed many barriers in the world of music. From Sammy Davis Jr. to Tony Bennett, Clayton continues to push the envelope of contemporary drumming and brushes to their limits. Cameron has also worked with other legends including Frank Sinatra, Billie Joel, Sting, James Taylor, k. d. Lang, Elvis Costello, and Ricky Martin.
Jazz at LACMA starts every Friday night at 6pm in the BP Grand Pavilion. Tickets are free, no reservations required, but the earlier you show up the better. Parking is available underneath LACMA or across the street (and that might cost you a little bit).
Food options, as well as Sangria, Beer and other adult beverages (and non-adult beverages) will be on sale. Ray and Stark Bar will be open as well. LACMA has started to ask that we not bring outside alcohol, or glass bottles to the event. The food trucks along Wilshire Avenue will be there until an hour or two before showtime. You can also bring your own picnic, as well as your own chair or blankets.
