The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA)’s Friday night Jazz Concerts continues TOMORROW NIGHT, featuring the Angel City Jazz Festival.
From the LACMA website:
The Angel City Jazz Festival celebrates cutting-edge jazz and features innovative and original jazz musicians from the West Coast and around the world. The festival presents established jazz artists as well as emerging talent, with a focus on West Coast creative jazz in past, present, and future. The second half of the concert features the Miguel Atwood-Ferguson Ensemble. The multi-instrumentalist has worked with a wide range of artists around the world, including Flying Lotus, Austin Peralta, Meshell Ndegeocello, Sara Gazarek, will.i.am, and Hubert Laws.
Jazz at LACMA starts every Friday night at 6pm in the BP Grand Pavilion. Tickets are free, no reservations required, but the earlier you show up the better. Parking is available underneath LACMA or across the street (and that might cost you a little bit).
Food options, as well as Sangria, Beer and other adult beverages (and non-adult beverages) will be on sale. Ray and Stark Bar will be open as well. LACMA has started to ask that we not bring outside alcohol, or glass bottles to the event. The food trucks along Wilshire Avenue will be there until an hour or two before showtime. You can also bring your own picnic, as well as your own chair or blankets.
