The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA)’s Friday night Jazz Concerts continues TOMORROW NIGHT, featuring L.A. 6.

From the LACMA website:

L.A. 6 is comprised of Los Angeles–area musicians who came together over 13 years ago. The group continues to evolve their very unique sound, performing contemporary straight-ahead jazz filled with wonderfully creative solos riding tight ensemble playing. L.A.6 carries on the relaxed tradition of West Coast jazz in a contemporary setting, while bringing in some more intense elements of hard-bop such as played by Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers or Wayne Shorter.

Jazz at LACMA starts every Friday night at 6pm in the BP Grand Pavilion. Tickets are free, no reservations required, but the earlier you show up the better. Parking is available underneath LACMA or across the street (and that might cost you a little bit).

Food options, as well as Sangria, Beer and other adult beverages (and non-adult beverages) will be on sale. Ray and Stark Bar will be open as well.  LACMA has started to ask that we not bring outside alcohol, or glass bottles to the event.  The food trucks along Wilshire Avenue will be there until an hour or two before showtime. You can also bring your own picnic, as well as your own chair or blankets.
