Title: Short, and kinda interestingPosted 13.03.2009 By: justin
On Chesil Beach [book]
I heard an excerpt of this book read on the radio a while back and thought that the subject matter seemed kinda interesting.
The author dealt with it in a way that didn't overly dramatize things or make it too salacious.
It seemed as though the author was reciting facts and events from the period for the express purpose of showing the reader that he had researched them and he now *had* to show them off in a few places!
Other than that I quite liked it.
Not my favorite book, but I ended up reading it in one day, so I must have enjoyed it somewhat!

What's good: The subject was interestingly handled and the flashbacks not confusing
What's bad: A bit short and historical facts were somewhat shown off
Is it any good?
